Book Review - Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur by Cara Alwill Leyba

I would say that it took me the equivalent of a day to finish the book. Usually I blow through books of this size in a matter of hours, but this one had me thinking about A LOT of things. I took notes, highlighted and wrote down the questions as they popped into my head brought on by the potent words that I was reading. While the words, interviews and quotes were very thought provoking, they were not necessarily things I’ve never heard before.
Looking for new information was not my goal in picking up this book; I was looking for inspiration! And I can honestly say that I got what I was looking for.
Full of thought provoking words, great quotes and interviews by some amazing women that have all charted their own path to happiness and success, this book has lit a fire in my soul to really find myself and get back to building my own empire on step at a time.
Even if you are not on the path to becoming an entrepreneur and you just want to learn how to bring a little positivity to your daily life and embrace that inner diva that kicks through roadblocks, in stilettos I might add, and is just so damn happy regardless of the negativity around her...this book has something for you too.
The whole point of this book might be geared towards female entrepreneurs, but it is stocked full of information that is relevant to any woman that needs a little help in being happier in the life she lives.
Sooooo all of this begs the questions:
Are you the aspiring entrepreneur, the budding corporate exec, or all around workaholic that needs to learn to enjoy your unique journey and embrace the fire-filled diva that can do whatever she dreams up?
Or are you the woman who just wants to be fearless and happy in the face of the haters that are just miserable enough to want to drag other beautiful women, because all of us women are, right down into their misery too?
If any of those women are you, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur along with a highlighter, notepad and a glass of your favorite happy juice ;-). You won’t regret it!
